Born in 1872; was president of the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association; was a member for life of the CAHA; helped supervise construction of the original Montreal Forum; because his main interest was amateur hockey, he played an integral role in persuading Sir Montagu Allan to present the Allan Cup; elected in 1947; died in 1963.
