biography

Born in Pembroke, Ontario in 1893; played his early career there; he turned pro with Toronto in 1913; member of the 1914-15 Vancouver Millionaires, Stanley Cup winners; returned to Ottawa the next season remaining there until the 1928-29 season; finished playing with Toronto; while with Ottawa Senators won the Stanley Cup four times; first winner of both the Hart Trophy and the Lady Bying Trophy; passed away in 1966; elected in 1947.
