biography

Born in Brantford October 6, 1896; played junior hockey in Kingston; after the first world war played amateur in Kingston and Sault Ste. Marie; turned pro with Saskatoon of Western League, 1922; played 12 years in the NHL with New York Rangers scoring 228 goals and 140 assists; member of two Stanley Cup winning teams; selected three times to NHL first All Star team; elected in 1952.
