I enjoy visiting the Hall. Besides the many interesting
hockey exhibitions on display it helps me to reconnect to my
childhood in Kingston. I played many sports as a youngster
but my biggest thrill was to play hockey in the "brand new" Kingston
Memorial Centre. I believe it opened in 1950. Up until that
time my hockey was played outdoors or at the old Jock Hardy
arena. Thanks for the memories.

Hello, I have visited the IHHOF several times over the last few
years with my 4 boys and we love the Hall. We especially liked
the Bobby Hull collection and seeing how the equipment (i.e., skates,
sticks, and the goals - that is the 4' x 6' pipes and nets) evolved
over the years. We'd love to see the exhibition game some year.
I have one suggestion for your souvenirs: bring back the square
hockey pucks. I bought a dozen 2 or 3 years ago and gave them
away as gifts; they were a hit with all my hockey friends as
they were so unique!

I was the son of the Boston Bruins team dr. from 1969 -2004.
I saw almost all of the great moments in hockey standing next
to my father, on the bench, in the locker room, in the stands
and at every venue the Bruins played in during those years, and
even the great international series etc. You have a great place
that brought back many memories and I'm only 39 yrs. old. I'll
be sure to actually visit if I can get into that area.

It has been years (since 1989) since I have been to Kingston.
The last time I was there I visited the museum and enjoyed it
very much. In the years since, I had made a couple of journeys
to Toronto to the Hockey Hall of Fame and was led to believe that
your museum/organization no longer existed. I am so glad to see
that I was misled and that all is well with your outfit. Since
I live in central California now, I have to work harder to get
any kind of hockey fix. GO HABS! GO LEAFS!

This is a good looking site. I am pleased to see that time and
effort is being spent to make the IHHOF a great place to visit.
In the past the hall seemed to fall on hard times, but now it
appears to be getting the attention that it needs. As a former
Kingstonian I know that Kingston has a deep and rich hockey history
and the hall seems to reflect that. Unlike Don Cherry who grew
up around the corner, I grew up right across the street from the
building. As a youngster, my playground included the hall as it
was being built. It has been years since I was in the hall, but
seeing this web site will make me want to visit the next time
I am back in town.
As most Kingstonians
are, I proudly display a bit of hockey history in my games room
at home. Items that include a square puck from the hall, a hall
bumper sticker from the 1960's, a photo of the 1912 Frontenacs,
and several hockey crests from the CAL.
